The Flatofis project features the conversion of a building previously designed solely as a shopping center into an office block. The building whose whole structural system was set up according to shopping center requirements was repurposed as an office block with the least intervention.
The major challenge while the project was in progress was finding a way to provide natural lighting. Interior courtyards with skylights presented a means to create rich architectural spaces with natural lighting while also offering a relaxing environment.
