Founded in 1992 as a partnership, Bakırküre Architects has continued its journey independently under the leadership of Gurhan Bakırküre since 2014.

With its headquarters in Istanbul and affiliated companies established in Montenegro and Dubai, Bakırküre Architects operates on an international scale, delivering projects across diverse geographies and typologies.

Over the years, the firm has earned recognition through numerous architectural competitions and awards, building a strong reputation both nationally and internationally. It has provided architectural services to many leading corporate clients — from banks and energy companies to technology giants and global brands. In parallel, Bakırküre Architects has also designed and realized private residences, luxury villas, hotels, restaurants, and boutique hospitality projects.

Guided by the principle of “creating functional and enduring spaces through timeless aesthetics and innovative solutions,” Bakırküre Architects has developed a particular expertise in workplace and office architecture, becoming a trusted reference in this field.

GÜRHAN BAKIRKÜRE

Gürhan Bakırküre

Founder - Master Architect

Bakırküre graduated from Istanbul Italian High School in 1985 and graduated from the Department of Architecture at Mimar Sinan University in 1989. He began working as a research assistant at the Department of Architecture at Mimar Sinan University in 1990. He completed his master's degree at Mimar Sinan University in 1992 with a thesis titled "Examination of the Concept of Museum Architecture and Museology in the Context of Contemporary Culture and Architecture."

Bakırküre, who has been working professionally since 1989, has exhibited national and international projects in countries such as Russia, Greece, the United States, Germany, and Italy, and has won awards in various architectural design competitions. He also speaks at various events such as panels and conferences and serves as a jury member in architectural design competitions. He taught Architectural Design courses at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University's Department of Architecture until 2013.

In addition to his architectural design and implementation activities at Bakırküre Architecture, a company he founded in Istanbul, he continues to offer turnkey office solutions for interior design projects. Bakırküre's recent projects include the Turkish offices of global companies such as BAT, Deloitte, ING Bank, Inteltek, and Roche.
A member of the Istanbul Association of Freelance Architects and the Chamber of Architects, Bakırküre speaks English and Italian. In addition to various sports, he continues to train in Taekwondo with a black belt. He also plays drums and works as an amateur DJ.

Implementation Project

We design your approved concept project down to the smallest detail and make it ready for implementation, in cooperation and coordination with all units within our organization such as electrical, mechanical and purchasing departments, to ensure that it can be built without any problems.

From this point forward, you have two options, depending on your workflow and business practices. Either we can implement the project we've designed for you in the field, down to the smallest detail, or we can continue our support by sharing the tender package with you, where we'll also act as project supervisor.
